What I'm Actually Buying Mom This Mother's Day

Hi friend,

Thank you so much for answering my polls on Instagram the last couple days. I saw that a lot of you are looking for Mother’s Day gift ideas, and I completely get it because I usually feel so lost trying to figure out what to get too.

So this year, I pulled together a list of gifts I actually think moms will use and love. Including what I'm getting her this year!

My top gifts for Mom

1. A Bogg Bag

This is what I’m getting my mom this year. The bags are super durable and come in different sizes. I’m getting her the smaller one because she goes to the beach almost every day in the summer, so she doesn’t need the giant family-size bag. She just needs something sturdy for her book, towel, and drink. The bigger sizes are amazing for sports games, beach days, and moms who are always carrying everything. And there are a ton of fun accessories too! I linked everything for you here:

2. A cooler big enough for cheese AND a bottle of wine

I got something similar to this for my mom last year, and she uses it all the time. Such a fun gift, and actually useful.

3. A casserole carrier

I gave one to my mom and one to my mother-in-law 10 years ago, and they still use them for every holiday. They both say it was one of the best gifts ever.

4. A deviled egg tray

If your mom makes deviled eggs, she deserves this. Pair it with a piping tool and it makes such a good gift.

5. A travel charcuterie board

This is a best seller..and for good reason! This is such a fun gift. It works for more than charcuterie too. Anything that needs a tray, it covers perfectly.

6. A lightweight ceramic pan

If your mom is still using an old teflon pan, it might be time for an upgrade. I’m recommending this one specifically because it’s so much lighter than most ceramic pans, which makes it easier on the wrists and still really durable.

Hi Reader, There is one thing I always do before summer officially starts. I make a big Thrive Market order. Not because I’m trying to be dramatic about snacks, but because once summer hits, the kids are home, we’re running to the beach, packing picnic lunches, heading to games, going on day trips, and suddenly everyone needs a snack every 14 seconds. And I don’t know about you, but I can never find all the snacks I’m looking for at one store. I’m a little picky when it comes to the snacks I...

Hi Reader, After 10 years of marriage, I finally realized something. Some of the kitchen things we registered for, bought in a rush, or just kept using because they were “fine” were not really my style anymore. My kitchen had become this mix of old plates, random bowls, stained pans, soggy drying mats, and things I used every single day but didn’t actually love. So over the past year, I’ve slowly upgraded the pieces I reach for the most. Not huge renovations. Not anything wild. Just the...

Memorial Day is less than 2 weeks away, which means it’s time to figure out what you’re bringing to the BBQ. And if you’re in charge of a side dish, this is your sign to bring something people are actually excited about. These are the BBQ sides I come back to again and again. The ones inspired by family recipes, old favorites, grocery store splurges I decided to recreate at home, and dishes people still ask me for. Here are 7 Memorial Day sides I’d actually be hyped to bring. #7: Thai Peanut...
